Audrey's Children
a deadly form of pediatric nerve cancer,
from which 90% of patients died in 1970.
She also co-founded the Ronald McDonald House Charities,
an organization which went on to provide
housing support to millions of people across the world.
However, as a strong-willed woman,
she was considered unconventional and idiosyncratic,
and her nature clashed with hospital leaders.
Dr. Evans was a member of the Episcopal Church.

NEWS
On Saturday, March 31, 2026, more than 154 current and retired bishops of The Episcopal Church, including Bishop Paula Clark, shared this letter and recording in response to the recent actions of ICE in Minnesota and across the country. Rooted in their call as followers of Jesus and as Episcopalians, the bishops call for a suspension of ICE activities, independent investigations of the recent killings of protesters, and for elected officials to uphold the rule of law.
CLICK HERE to hear the message from our Bishops and to read their letter in English or Spanish.
We want you to be aware of our leaders addressing these important issues that impact our communities and nation. Please consider subscribing to the Diocesan emails and Episcopal News Service.
